Association: Russian forex dealers to trade yuan, rupee, real

MOSCOW, Jan 18 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank’s committee for forex dealers has coordinated expansion of the product lineup for clients of the national forex dealers by adding the Chinese yuan, the Indian rupee, and the Brazilian real to the pair with the ruble, the Association of Forex Dealers said in a statement late on Tuesday.

“The committee on standards of forex dealers activity held a meeting today, and following that, the new currency pairs were introduced into the lineup of forex dealers,” the association said quoting Superintendent Yevgeny Masharov.

“After the Bank of Russia approves these changes, clients of Russian forex dealers will get access to the currencies of friendly countries, including the Chinese yuan, the Indian rupee, and the Brazilian real.”

He also confirmed plans of the association to introduce new instruments for the clients of Russian forex dealers later in 2023.
